About Burlington Able Sail Chapter

Burlington Able Sail (BAS) is a program established and run by the Burlington Sailing & Boating Club. the Burlington Sailing & Boating Club is located in the LaSalle Park Marina, the Burlington Sailing & Boating Club and the LaSalle Park Marina are nestled in a lush, tranquil park on the tree-lined north shore of Burlington Bay, close to the 403 and QEW highways.

BAS is a Chapter of the Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario (DSAO)

• A DSAO Chapter is a non-profit regional sailing association or sailing program which provides accessible sailing opportunities to the community specific area.
• The principal programming goal of DSAO and all DSAO Chapters is inclusion and participation in Sailing.
• DSAO is committed to supporting regional chapters to provide fun, safe, accessible sailing for people in Ontario in order to enhance independence, and empower individual's enjoyment of the water, regardless of ability, age, or physical limitation.

BAS embraces the mission of the DSAO, and with NYC's commitment to the sailing community as well as health and wellness of Burlington residents promoting eco-friendly sports for all.

BAS uses specially designed sailboats; the Martin 16 and the Access Liberty, the BAS program runs from July 1st to August 31.
